BetFred is a fun play to play poker because the game choices are good and the competition is exciting. They have quite a few freeroll tournaments. I definitely recommend this site to friends and family interested in low-key online play. I really like the fact that my bankroll on BetFred can be used at either the poker room, casino or for sports betting.
Only bad thing going for BetFred right now is that US players aren’t allowed to play for real money.

BetFred Poker has one of the quickest and easiest softwares to install, so you don’t have to wait 10 minutes before you can get into the action here. This is probably the only online poker site that I have not yet needed an upgrade to my software. The look of the room is clean and easily navigated by all. I also like being able to have a "buddy list" readily available to find out which tables my friends are playing on.
I would recommend BetFred to those players with a smaller bankroll that are looking to increase it. Reason being, there are several very low stakes tables here.

BetFred is also hosting the "BetFred Million" a $1 Million guaranteed tournaments, to which there is several free roll and low buy-in satellites. .

I would have to say that the majority of the players on BetFred poker are average or above average. It is however, getting harder to get into the Sit-n-go games without waiting, because the traffic has increased so much. But, once a table opens up it only takes a minute or two to fill it up. The ring games generally don’t have a big waiting list unless the table is hot! Although There are usually more than 1300 active tables open.

The variety of games at BetFred has gotten much better over the last year. BetFred has added 7-Card Stud and 5-Card Stud to their game choices, and also heads-up games. They also offer the standard games of Texas Hold em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo, all with limit, no-limit and pot-limit games. You will not find any Stud games at BetFred yet. You can find ring games of each kind ranging from blind levels of .01/.02 to $5/$10. The daily tournaments have buy-ins from $1 up to $375. There are more than a dozen freerolls daily.

The traffic at Bet Fred Poker seems to vary greatly during the day. On average there are roughly 15,000 people logged into the iPoker network of sites. This number, of course, jumps up when it gets closer to the time a freeroll opens for registration. The maximum number of players in their freerolls ranges from 500 to 1000, making that site traffic very inconsistent.

BetFred is part of the iPoker network and that network is currently one of the fasted growing mid-sized networks of online poker rooms. They have been attracting a steady flow of loose players who have, at peak times had as many as 3000 players in the iPoker ring table network.
The tournament traffic at BetFred is always high due to the Sit-n-go competitions with the high value jackpots available. In March of 2025 tournaments hit a peak of around 15,000 players.

Of all the support departments I’ve dealt with at online poker rooms, BetFred’s support has got to be the best yet. There support department is 24/7 and is very knowledgeable and fast. Even though there is in game support offered, the contact us button on the software gives you all other options for contacting their support department.

The parent company of BetFred Poker has been in business since 1967 offering sportsbooking. With that company backing BetFred Poker there have been no issues of site or financial security here.

The cashout time at BetFred is average and consistent with cashout times of other online poker rooms. The one big difference you will see here is that you have 16 different currency options to choose from. Their website states that you should receive your money within 72 hours. However, I generally get mine within 24 hours. BetFred Poker offers the following banking methods: Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Western Union, Neteller,Citadel, Regional Bank Transfers, Fedex, and Wire Transfers.
