Cake Poker is one of the newer online poker rooms, have opened in 2025. The largest reason for the low overall score here is due to the banking options and the relatively low level of traffic at Cake Poker. While the traffic has increased steadily over the last year, it is still lower than average.
Since it’s opening CakePoker has offered some very unique promotions, including the ‘Piece of Cake’ where players could win a percentage of ownership in the company and the ‘Gold Cards’ that could earn a player up to $52,000.

The software at Cake poker is extremely realistic, even with the effects of 3D. You will easily be able to navigate around the lobby, as it is very user friendly. The lobby is very nice and I really like the fact that you can separate the tournaments by the different poker variants. When you get to each table you can mark each of your opponents with a colored circle, each color represents a certain type of player, the other players can be marked as ‘easy money’, ‘crazy’ and so on.

The current sign up bonus at Cake Poker is worth up to $500, or 100% of your initial deposit. This bonus offer is vastly different from the bonus offer that was available when Cake first opened its virtual doors.
Promotions (10)
CakePoker had, in my opinion, the most original promotion ever offered by an online poker room. Cake was offering its players a 1% stake in its company Cake Gaming NV. You are sure to be pleased with their other promotions including the refer-a-friend promotions and the great freeroll games they offer. They are also ‘Million Dollar Freeroll’ series that will be going on over the next 10 months.
Cake Poker also offers a unique lottery in which Gold Cards are handed out daily during ring and tournament games. If you get a card, you can either redeem it for tournament entry, merchandise, or you can try to collect all 52 cards to receive $52,000! Cake Poker also offers ‘Cake Slices’ which are the equivalent of frequent player points.

Whenever a new online poker room opens, you will most certainly see very loose playing. As the old saying goes ‘The fish are biting today’, and that has been very true at Cake Poker.
The amount of loose players here is flabbergasting to say the least. At low stakes tables the percentage of players per flop is generally around 80%, and on the higher stake tables that percentage is typically 60% or more.
Variety (8)
Your game variety chooses at CakePoker are better than average. They offer Texas Hold’em; including No Limit, Fixed Limit and Pot Limit, Omaha HI-Lo, Omaha, 7-Card Stud and 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo. All games are offered in varying limit amounts. The only types of games I don’t see available her are the turbo games.

Site Traffic (5)
This area has improved quite a bit over the last year, but still you will only see around 2000 players here at peak times, up from the 500 player average a year ago. Cake Poker runs on a proprietary software and isn’t a part of some big online poker room conglomerate. I really like playing here, because its much easier to get to know your opponents when you play against them all the time, unlike those huge online poker rooms where tournaments attract 10,000 players.

As with every new online poker site that is independent of any player network, you will see lower traffic at both ring games and tournaments. Even with lower levels of traffic seen at Cake Poker, the variety and amount of tournaments is very good.
Support (4)
Being a small online poker room, you have limited support options with Cake Poker. Those options include email support and a basic FAQ page on their website. Hopefully soon we will see them offer either telephone or in-game live support. But, with their email support, you can be assured a quick response and very useful information.

CakePoker has expanded both it’s deposit and withdrawl options. You can now deposit with Neteller, Instacash, Visa, Mastercard, ePassporte and MoneyBookers. The withdrawl options currently available are Neteller, Bank Draft, MoneyBookers and ePassporte. From experience, I know that that all of the withdrawal methods are quick, including the Bank Draft option, where it took just about a week, quick in terms of snail mail, for my Bank Draft to reach me.
