I have been playing at Bodog Poker for quite some time now and I must say that it is just about the cleanest looking online poker room. There are no cards covering player names at the tables, no background clutter, the lobby is very clean and it is certainly easy for me to see why other folks enjoy playing there.
It is also nice that you can see your cards during play even after you fold, just in case you want to know that folding your 2-6 suited would have gotten you a straight flush! I have also used Bodog sports betting in the past and it is a great site as well.

Bodog Poker launched a new software upgrade in January of 2006 called Bodog 2.0. That udgrade added new options and availability for customization for your own personal preferences. Players are now permitted to take notes on their opponents and the lobby shows more usable statistics.
While very clean looking and easy to use, the software also allows you to sit yourself in the center of the table and play 3 simultaneous games. I really like the new layout and color scheme. While lag is sometimes a problem when you have this amount of graphics running, I haven’t seen any problems at Bodog yet. The only drawback within the software is that the hand history function isn’t quite as user friendly as the rest of the lobby.
While you are in the lobby, you will see all pertinent game info, but during tournament or table game play, those rankings, including average chip stack and the high and low chip stacks cannot be seen. I also really like the fact that you can watch up to 3 games on your main screen and switch back and forth between them.
Bonuses (7)
To my knowledge, Bodog Poker is one of the best places to play if you are looking to get good bonuses on your larger bankroll. They have been offering an unliminted 10% bonus and reload bonus. For those players who aren’t bringing big bankrolls with them, this bonus is about average, but easy to meet the requirements to receive your bonus. You can also receive up to $200 for the refer-a-friend bonus!

Not too much advertising on the promotions for Bodog Poker, but they do have a few going on. You can earn Bodog Poker Points by playing in tournaments, ring tables and any other table games with rake. Earning those points is how you clear your bonuses. The points can also be saved and used for buy-ins to tournaments. Bodog runs quite a few guaranteed prize pool tournaments. They also have a weekly $100,000 guaranteed game in which typically the players only contribute about 75% of the prize pool.

At Bodog you will generally find a very good mix of experienced and new poker players. Odds are good that you can find a game with both new players and players well versed in poker at any time. It’s great to see pro players like Evelyn Ng and Josh Arieh on the Bodog team. These pros also occasionally show up at the tables and tournaments.
Variety (5)
The tournaments at Bodog are great for players who like to see the value of their buy-ins/ The majority of tournaments have a guaranteed prize pool which is rarely fully covered by player buy-in, meaning less people in the tournament and a better chance of finishing in the money.
You can find limit, pot limit, and no-limit Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 5-card stud and 7-card stud. Ring games have a blind structure between .05/. 10 and $30/$60. The majority of the tables are for 9 or 10 players but the do have several heads up and 6-player tables.
Site Traffic (5)
Much of the traffic to Bodog Poker comes through their sports book and their casino. Bodog has aired commercials in the US with poker pros Josh Arieh and David Williams as spokespersons. The tournaments at Bodog do bring a bit of traffic to the site, especially the guaranteed tournaments.
Most of the tournaments have between 50 and 400 players. The $100,000 guaranteed usually has around 700 players, including many top online players. The Hold’em ring tables generally are close to or at capacity while the Stud and Omaha tables are generally less than half full. Bodog opens up more ring games on the weekends, which is very nice, making waiting lists almost nonexistent.
Cash Games (5)
The traffic at the ring tables here hasn’t quite reached high levels yet and typically the largest amount of the ring table traffic is at the lower stakes No Limit Holdem. Currently you will find about 2000 players logged in during peak times and about 1500 during the slower times of the day. The tournament traffic accounts for about 60% of the total traffic at Bodog Poker.

High scores here because the customer service and support is great and easy to access. You will see that the email address and toll-free phone number for support are at the top of the page in the poker room, visible at any time whether you are in the lobby or in a game.

Bodog Poker is backed by a top-not sports book and casino, not to mention the owner, Calvin Ayre, of Bodog is becoming quite famous. Bodog receives a perfect score in this category as no security issues have been seen. Bodog also has an advantage of being one of the oldest online rooms, having been around for almost 12 years.
Banking (8)
You will find quite a few different options at Bodog for making deposits and cashingyou’re your winnings. Those include FirePay, Neteller, Central Coin, myCitadel, eWalletXpress, Credit cards and bank wires.
Cashing out through Neteller is very quick here, usually taking only a few hours. Bodog currently holds 100% of player deposits and winnings for all members in an account with Europe's largest private bank, and all payouts are made through the Royal Bank of Scotland in the UK.
